HTML5 High-Resolution Video Preview

High-res video for iPadWith so much talk about HTML5 and the war between Apple & Adobe raging on, we decided to test ourselves if HTML5 is ready for prime time, yet.  What we discovered is that there are still many discrepancies between browsers regarding what video file formats they support and how the playback looks. H264, which is supported by Chrome and Safari (and will also be supported by Internet Explorer 9) seems to deliver the biggest bang for the buck. Two of its main advantages over ogv video files are video playback hardware acceleration and a proven high-quality video compression. Don’t take our word for it. See it for yourself by watching our 3D demo reel in HTML5 below.

Note: This page is optimized to play high-quality video on all devices (any desktop and laptop computers running the latest software, iPad, Android Tablets, etc.) in the most compatible HTML5 standard. HTML5 video playback is only support if you use of the latest browser versions from Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 9 beta and Opera. If you are using a browser that doesn’t support HTML5, yet, this page currently forces a third party flash video player.
